Who Are We?

Why?

Ministries

Hi! I'm Pastor Steve Bradcovich.

My wife and I have worked abroad for the last fifteen years as church planters and leader builders. We have five children who have followed us all over the world from the equator to the Arctic Circle!

Educational Background

I graduated valedictorian from Southeastern College of the Assemblies of God in 1982 with a double major in Bible and English Education. I then went to the University of South Florida in Tampa where I got my Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics and graduated with distinction. I am also a member of Mensa.

Guatemalan Work

From there I went to Guatemala and lived and worked there for the next five years. This is where my real education began! I entered during their time of civil war and worked first at a children's home for a year until I was fluent in Spanish. Then I began an extensive work in the prison system there and evangelized in some of the hardest places of Guatemala, often behind the guerrilla lines. God had told me to work in only three types of places:

  1. places where the people worshipped the devil
  2. places where the people worshipped idols (of metal or stone) or
  3. places where there were no churches.

In the five year work, I pioneered two churches and helped establish two more. I also met my wife Zury during this time and we traveled together and had our first son there.

Soviet Union Work

After my five years there, God opened a wide door to move to the Soviet Union. We moved there in March 1990 and were the first missionaries to live openly as missionaries. In our ten years there we personally founded and pastored six churches and founded a movement of independent churches that number in the hundreds. Many of those churches have several thousand members today and are among the largest churches in the former Soviet Union. We started and oversaw eleven pastoral training schools and traveled extensively strengthening the churches. We lived in Moscow three years and the rest of the time our residence was in Soviet Latvia.

Present Work

Our present work is in the Washington D.C. metroplex. Our plan is to do what we did in Russia--fill it with successful, growing Spirit-filled churches that reach the many that don’t know Jesus!
